my summer's story

here is the story of my summer.... swim. workout. lay exhausted for a few hours and carb load. go to an amazingly physical soccer practice (or two later on) and get pushed, shoved, grabbed and kicked. run for punishment bacuase someone was late. get lined up in the goal while the upper classman have about 10 minutes to try and knock our heads off. if you duck, or dont head it, get screamed at. get bruises, and feel amazingly sore. get called freshman, or freshey in a nasty tone by people who happen to be older than you when they tell you to pick up their trash, put the goals up or down, carry the ball or penny bag, or even their soccer bag. after just one week, i already have alot of imsight into my new life. even people that i was friends with in the past now just order me around, and make fun of us. oh well, hopefully it will wear off soon! until then..... ugh.

btw, i will make a post on monday or wednesday saying exactly what we did at workouts and practice, ect. just so you can feel my pain. and try doing it all a few times a week and seeing how you feel!

  1. THIS is why ice skating is a great sport! skaters treat each others at equals :P
lol but sounds really rough allie! hang in there :)

p.s. ignore the unrealistic ice skating movies that overexaggerate because they are completely ignorant.

  3. yeah gloria i can see it. a bunch of ice skaters all being so kind to eachother.. but thats what ice skating is! soccer is full of evil little children who enjoy slide tackling eachother and breaking their opposing team's noses. ;) lol you see the distinct difference- contact sport vs.non- contact. two different worlds- right allie??

  4. ahhh, the wonderful world of sweat and grime is the place to be. there is no replacement for the adrenaline rush given to you by the contact sport. adrenaline is allie's life. that is her.
